Coming from Litematica
Your files keep working, your placements can be brought over, and what is different.
Your files #
BuildPrint opens .litematic files directly and saves in the same format. Both mods read the same schematics/ folder, so your files are there when you open the Local tab. They are not changed.
The walkthrough #
On first start, pick I know Litematica in the walkthrough. It skips the basics and shows on one page what works differently here, then lets you set your keys. Run it again any time with /buildprint onboarding.
Your placements #
When BuildPrint finds Litematica placements in your game folder, the walkthrough's Litematica page has a button to bring them over, so your builds show up where you left them when you join each world. With none found there is no button. You can also do this later with Import from Litematica/Schematica in the Schematics tab of the settings.
Schematica does not keep placements per world, so there is nothing to bring over. Its .schematic files open like any other file.
