Shortcuts
All keys, in the game and in the editor, and how to set one in the Controls screen.
Each row starts with the name the key has in the game's Controls screen, in the BuildPrint group.

| not set | Show/hide the build you're in: like its eye in the Loaded tab |
| H | Editor: show or hide the controls. Only works while the editor is open |
Set or change a key #
The quickest way is the walkthrough (/buildprint onboarding): its shortcut pages say what each key does, and you click a key and press the one you want. Or use the game's Controls screen:
- Press Esc and open Options..., Controls... and Key Binds..., in that order.
- Scroll down to the BuildPrint group.
- Click the button next to the action, for example Toggle Printer, and press the key you want.
- A key shown in red is also used by something else. Pick another one, or change the other one.
- Click Done.
Toggle Printer and the keys that hide builds have no key on purpose: a stray press would start placing blocks or make the builds vanish. Give them keys you do not press by accident.
Players who had BuildPrint before 0.1.22 may still have I for container contents and H for the status panel. New players start without them.
Mouse, with easy place on #
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Right click | Place the block for that spot |
| Hold right click | Keep placing while you move the crosshair |
| Middle click | Pick the block of a ghost block |
| Hold left click | Easy break: break only wrong and extra blocks. Works with easy place off too |
In a list, the chat key (T) jumps to the search.

These are fixed, and not in the Controls screen, except where it says so.

What the wheel does #
The line above the toolbar always says what it does now.
| With | The wheel |
|---|---|
| Select or Resize, with a box | Moves the side of the box you aim nearest. Up is out. See Resize a box. |
| Resize, with a corner picked | Moves that corner the way you face. |
| Magic select | Changes what a click picks. |
| Place or Move | Pushes the build away or brings it closer. |
| Any other tool, or nothing to work on yet | Camera speed. When you walk, the next tool. |
With Select and Magic select #
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| N | The next box is a new region |
With the Move tool #
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| P | Put the gizmo on the block you aim at: the build turns around it |
| Alt + Click | The same, off the gizmo |
| R | Put the gizmo back in the middle of the build |
| Arrow keys | Move it forward, back and sideways |
| Page UporPage Down | Move it up or down |
| Hold Alt | While you drag: move it freely, off the ground |
On a Mac #
Command works as Ctrl, and Option is Alt. A trackpad or Magic Mouse scrolls in steps. The Delete key removes the active box.
BuildPrint 0.1.34 changed the numbers: Magic select is 2, so every tool after it moved up, and the Rotate tool is gone because Move turns too. Up to 0.1.33 scrolling switched tools; now that is Alt and the wheel, Q and E.
